Texas Roadhouse at 3621 Florida Avenue in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, received a warning from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation after state inspectors documented roach activity during a December 16, 2025, inspection, with a required follow-up inspection conducted the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n

State records revealed a total of two violations during the initial visit to the Polk County steakhouse. The inspection documented one high-priority violation and one basic violation, both related to roach activity on the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The high-priority violation involved live roach activity. State officials found one live roach on the wall behind the fry cooler and another live roach on the floor behind the same equipment, according to inspection records. The roaches were eradicated, and the area was cleaned and sanitized during the inspection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. 1 live roach on the wall behind the fry cooler. 1 live roach on the floor behind the fry cooler. The roaches was eradicated, the area was cleaned and sanitized,” the inspector’s inspection report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the basic violation documented<\/a> one dead roach on the floor under an upright Traulsen stand-up freezer. Inspectors noted the dead roach was removed, and the area was cleaned and sanitized as a corrective action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation issued a warning to the restaurant and required a follow-up inspection. State officials returned on December 17, 2025, and found the establishment had addressed the violations. The follow-up inspection resulted in zero violations, and the restaurant received a “Call Back – Complied” disposition.<\/p>\n\n\n
