<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nPolk Senior Games is an annual two-week series of 37 Olympic-style sports and games for men and women 50 years of age and older. The Games inspire an active lifestyle; combine an interest in sports and games with fun and fellowship; promote a positive image of seniors and recognize their efforts and achievements; and encourage volunteerism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Competitions are held at various locations throughout Polk County and include:\u00a0Archery, Bag Toss, Basketball Shooting, Billiards, Bocce, Bowling (including Team Bowling), Bridge, Chess, Cribbage, Ballroom and Social Dancing, Darts, Euchre, Field Events, Fishing, Golf (18 Hole Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Putt & Chip), Horseshoes, Pepper, Pickleball, Punt Pass Kick, Road Race 5K, Scrabble, Senior Smarts, Shooting (Pistol, Rifle, Skeet, 5-Stand, Sporting Clays, and Trap), Shuffleboard, Softball, Sudoku, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track, and Walking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded in each event and age division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Registration began January 2, and the deadline is Friday, February 6.
There are two ways to register for the Games:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base entry fee is $13, and each event is $6. Facility fees are required for certain events: $40 for Golf Singles, $40 for Golf Mixed Doubles, $15 for Pickleball, $15 for Archery, and $15\u2013$25 for Shooting events. A discount is available for participants entering more than seven events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An additional team fee applies for\u00a0Softball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All participants receive a T-shirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Polk Senior Games is a non-profit organization sanctioned by the Florida Sports Foundation to qualify participants for advancement to the Florida Senior Games, which lead to the National Senior Games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
