\n\nOne of the most decorated goal-scorers in the history of collegiate soccer has continued her playing career on the professional level. Senior forward Uchenna Kanu<\/a> has inked a professional contract with Sevilla FC Femenino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kanu capped off an illustrious four-year career at Southeastern with 42 goals scored and 20 assists, a single-season career high in helpers her senior season. Additionally, Kanu set new NAIA career records for Goals Scored (157) and Points (366).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are extremely proud of Uchenna,” shared SEU head coach Randy Belli<\/a>. “Not only due to her signing a professional contract, but also her academic  achievements and spiritual growth.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Abia, Nigeria native led her team back to the NAIA National Championship Semifinals for a second consecutive season this past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Uche has worked extremely hard, yet gives all the glory to God,” added Coach Belli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sevilla FC competes in the Primera Divisi\u00f3n de la Liga de F\u00fatbol Femenino, which is the highest level of league competition for women’s football in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of Kanu’s signing, Sevilla FC is in 11th place in the Primera Division, four spots clear of the relegation zone.
