prepare people\nwith special needs and their families for future commercial air travel will be\nheld this Saturday, February 8th&nbsp;at the SUN \u2018n FUN Expo Campus.&nbsp;A\nprogram offered by the families to\nprepare for an experience that is commonplace for most. Transition to the Sky\nis a complimentary program offered throughout the year and by special request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Working with industry partners including the&nbsp;Lakeland\nLinder International Airport&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Transportation Safety\nAdministration (TSA), Transition to the Sky allows for vital acclimation,\nrepetition, and supervision during a commercial airport and passenger flight\nsimulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-facebook wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-facebook\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LakelandGazette\/videos\/186983919221025\/\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe program participants especially like sitting in our\nPiedmont 727 aircraft that is a fully-functioning airplane located on our\ncampus\u201d says Richele Floyd, Director of Scholarships and creator of this\nprogram for ACE. \u201cMany take selfies with the Captain at the conclusion of our\nprogram because of their new-found confidence.\u201d Experiencing the sights,\nsounds, and smells associated with commercial air travel is extremely\nbeneficial to those with special needs of all ages. It untethers them and their\ncaretakers to be able to take trips to visit family or vacation in a new\ndestination.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transition to the Sky is a
