The attraction is part of a major investment by Merlin Entertainments, replacing the former Flying School<\/em> coaster with a high-tech, space-themed experience that focuses on personalization and “play.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Custom Spacecraft:<\/strong> Before boarding, you use interactive touchscreens to design your own LEGO spaceship (choosing the nose, tail, wings, and special features). With over 625 combinations<\/strong>, your specific creation is tracked via RFID and “appears” during the ride.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Mission:<\/strong> You are recruited to “Spaceport 885” (a tribute to the classic 1979 Space Scooter set) by Chief Engineer Biff Dipper<\/strong>\u2014the park’s first-ever large-scale animatronic LEGO Minifigure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
