That is fantastic news! A huge congratulations to Sergeant Chad Mumbauer<\/strong>. Being inducted into a Hall of Fame is no small feat\u2014it\u2019s a permanent nod to his impact on the Lake Gibson community and his dedication to service.<\/p>\n\n\n

Sergeant Mumbauer has proudly served with the Lakeland Police Department since 1995. Over 31 years, he has worked Patrol, Special Investigations, Neighborhood Liaison, K-9, and SWAT, and has led as SWAT Commander since 2013. Along the way, he has earned more than 60 awards, including the Chief\u2019s Award and a Life Saving Medal. We are beyond proud of his service, and the countless lives he has impacted throughout our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, he reminded students that he\u2019s not special, just determined. Determined to get up every day and make a difference. To be placed in a position to help, protect, or inspire someone. His commitment to small, consistent acts of kindness has shaped his life and career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From honoring his wife and his family for their support, to encouraging students to stay consistent through life\u2019s setbacks, his message was clear: your presence, your kindness, and your effort matter more than you know. Lakeland has grown; opportunities have grown and so have the possibilities for the next generation. The future is yours. Make it count.<\/p>\n\n\n

Lake Gibson High has a proud tradition in Lakeland, and adding someone with a background of service and leadership like Sgt. Mumbauer really highlights the “Braves” spirit. It\u2019s always heartening to see local heroes get their flowers while they can still smell them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
