A child on LSD given to them by their father was found disoriented outside a Florida grocery store, officials said. The father was arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A man was arrested for giving LSD to his child, who was found disoriented outside a grocery store, the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office said in a news release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies responded to reports of the child lying on the ground of the Fort Myers grocery store parking lot around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The child was taken to a local hospital, where they later told deputies that their father, Jeffery Rivenburg, had given them the drug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the investigation, Rivenberg\u2019s other children told deputies their father would pressure them into using drugs, which he gave to them, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies found Rivenberg at the La Quinta Inn on Marketplace Road. While searching his hotel room, they found fentanyl, LSD, cocaine and marijuana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was arrested and charged with two counts of child neglect without causing great bodily harm, trafficking fentanyl, trafficking LSD, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rivenburg has been arrested more than 30 times for various charges, including multiple drug offenses, battery, theft, and burglary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
