While there are reports of significant issues with productions presented by Star Entertainment GmbH (associated with star-entertainment.org<\/a>), whether it is a “scam” depends on your definition. At the Polk Theatre, recent events scheduled for May 2026\u2014including The Music of The Lion King and The Music of The Lord of the Rings\u2014were officially canceled.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have been mixed reports regarding the theatre’s management responsiveness in the past, but for large-scale cancellations like these, the venue typically coordinates the refund process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reputation of Star Entertainment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company behind these shows has a controversial reputation globally. While they do occasionally put on performances, they have been accused of “misleading” marketing in several ways:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Official-Adjacent” Branding: They often use titles like “The Music of…” to imply a connection to official movie franchises (like Disney or Lord of the Rings), though they generally do not have the rights to use official footage or original scores.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
