The path is currently closed due to the social distancing impacts of the coronavirus. Those traveling around Lake Hollingsworth Drive should expect minor delays during this work. This work is expected to take four days to complete weather permitting. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/trail-us-florida-lake-hollingsworth-loop-at-map-17937098-1531794680-300x250-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7013\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Troy McCain, Pavement Management Coordinator for the City of Lakeland said, \u201cThe trail was last resurfaced in 2010 and it was originally scheduled for preventative maintenance with a topcoat. The multi-use path has been overlaid several times so crews will mill the asphalt down about two inches and get it to the original level.\u201d He added, \u201cDue to the Governor\u2019s Executive Order this is a great time to start this project because it will least impact those that frequently use the trail.
