As America celebrates its\u00a0250th Anniversary<\/b>, the City of Lakeland invites residents and visitors to gather for the annual\u00a0T. Mims Corp. Red, White,\u00a0and\u00a0Kaboom Independence Day Celebration<\/b>\u00a0on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Lake Mirror along the Frances Langford Promenade from 6:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.<\/div>\n

This\u00a0free patriotic celebration\u00a0will feature live music, local food vendors, patriotic entertainment, and family-friendly fun as our community joins others across the nation in commemorating 250 years of American history. The celebration will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Mirror at 9:00 p.m.<\/div>\n
Red, White,\u00a0and\u00a0Kaboom\u00a0provides an opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors\u00a0to come together to celebrate our nation’s history, honor those who helped build it, and reflect on the shared values that continue to unite us today.<\/div>\n

The evening will begin with\u00a0a special performance\u00a0by\u00a0The Sing Out Crew<\/b>, a talented local youth singing group\u00a0comprised\u00a0of grade school students under the direction of Renard Hayes Jr. Their patriotic performance will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/div>\n
Following the opening performance, Lakeland-based band\u00a0Bully\u00a0For\u00a0You<\/b>\u00a0will take the stage as the event’s featured musical act, bringing their high-energy mix of rock, pop, and dance favorites to the waterfront. Admission to Red, White,\u00a0and\u00a0Kaboom is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring at least one non-perishable food item to support\u00a0Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE)<\/b>, a local nonprofit organization that helps seniors throughout Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry, and Fort Meade\u00a0maintain\u00a0their independence and quality of life.<\/div>\n
