Appearing on the ballot as Matt Taylor, his former name, Matt has transformed what has historically been one of Florida\u2019s lowest-profile statewide races into one of the most talked-about political contests of the election cycle<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without holding political office, without the support of a political machine and without relying on major corporate or PAC funding, Matt has built a grassroots movement that has reached hundreds of thousands of Floridians through social media, public events and direct conversations with voters. He threatens to unseat the incumbent, Wilton Simpson, in August\u2019s Primary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2025, Matt has traveled thousands of miles across Florida. He has attended local events, met with small business owners and residents while producing videos highlighting issues that affect everyday Floridians.
