The City of Lakeland will soon begin work to restore approximately 185 linear feet of eroded shoreline on the south side of Lake Beulah.\u00a0 The project is a continuation of an ongoing shoreline improvement plan for Lake Beulah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restoration and stabilization project will include the use of Filtrexx technology. Filtrexx\u2019s patented mesh \u201csoxx\u201d (mesh tubes) will be installed along the eroded shoreline; filled with composted material suitable for growing vegetation, and then covered with sod. The result is a natural-looking shoreline that will be protected from future erosion.\u00a0Filtrexx is the industry leader in sustainable technologies especially designed for stabilization applications. \u00a0The company offers a wide range of reliable stabilization and erosion control solutions used throughout the globe.\u00a0The project cost is $10,777.00 and is scheduled to begin in June 2020. The project will take approximately two weeks to complete.\u00a0 The eroded shoreline area is adjacent to a multi-use path that is frequently used by citizens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
