{"id":7607,"date":"2020-05-22T15:08:03","date_gmt":"2020-05-22T19:08:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?p=7607"},"modified":"2020-05-22T15:08:10","modified_gmt":"2020-05-22T19:08:10","slug":"polk-cares-small-business-relief-grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/2020\/05\/22\/polk-cares-small-business-relief-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"Polk CARES Small Business Relief Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"780\" height=\"240\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/we-are-all-in-this-together.jpg?resize=780%2C240&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7608\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/we-are-all-in-this-together.jpg?w=780&amp;ssl=1 780w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/we-are-all-in-this-together.jpg?resize=300%2C92&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/we-are-all-in-this-together.jpg?resize=768%2C236&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Central Florida Development Council (CFDC), Polk County&#8217;s economic development organization has asked the Tax Collector&#8217;s Office to notify Polk County small businesses of the Polk CARES Small Business Relief Grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a Polk County Business you may be eligible for the following grant program designed to assist businesses financially during the COVID-19 emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Small businesses&nbsp;impacted by COVID-19 may apply for funding levels of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>$1,000 for those who are self-employed or 1 employee<\/li><li>$2,500 for businesses with 2 \u2013 9 employees<\/li><li>$5,000 for businesses with 10 \u2013 25 employees<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Small business&nbsp;applicants&nbsp;must attest&nbsp;they:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Were negatively impacted by COVID-19<\/li><li>Have not received Paycheck Protection Program (PPP); Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL); or benefited from the SBA Debt Relief Program as provided under the CARES Act<\/li><li>Will use the grant funds for business expenses<\/li><li>Will apply for a Polk County Business Tax Receipt if not registered with the Polk County Tax Collector. Learn more&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/click.icptrack.com\/icp\/relay.php?r=92049683&amp;msgid=64368&amp;act=4A95&amp;c=1788302&amp;destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.polktaxes.com%2FCovid_LandingPage.aspx&amp;cf=20437&amp;v=475e460258dbeee904ff240aa5bec9f0f96a76b8b6e9f504fd937435a8411fcd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li><li>Plan to resume normal operations after emergency guidelines are lifted<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Required Business Documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Completed and signed W-9<\/li><li>Valid photo ID<\/li><li>Copy of active state business registration from Florida Division of Corporations (or city or county)<\/li><li>W3 Summary or IRS Form 941 prior to Feb. 15, 2020 (businesses with 2-25 employees only)<\/li><li>Information to estimate your business expenses before Feb. 15, 2020<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A call center to assist residents with questions regarding Polk County\u2019s CARES Act is available in English and Spanish from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The call center will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25.
