In an era dominated by disposable home goods and quick-ship fixtures, one local workshop is holding fast to the art of restoration. At the Lamp Repair and Shade Studio, broken sockets, frayed vintage wiring, and delicate, hand-stitched silk shades are not discarded—they are given a second life.

Founded on the principle that quality lighting deserves longevity, the studio specializes in full-service electrical rewiring, custom lamp design, and intricate shade recoverings. Master craftspeople at the workshop meticulously source period-accurate hardware and premium textiles to restore heirloom pieces, mid-century modern statement lamps, and everyday desk lights alike.

Beyond simple repairs, the studio’s custom shade work remains a rare trade. Using traditional wire frames, hand-pleated silk, custom trims, and hand-dyed fabrics, artisans craft bespoke shades tailored to the exact proportions and character of each unique fixture.
