Case Overview

 • The Charges & Verdict: A Polk County jury found Saintizaire guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and witness tampering.

 • The Investigation: Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office were brought in after Bryan was brought to the hospital on May 1, 2024, suffering from internal injuries. Doctors found a deep laceration on his liver caused by targeted blunt-force trauma—comparable to a hard punch—which caused rapid internal bleeding. He died shortly after.

 • Evidence of Ongoing Abuse: An autopsy revealed extensive scarring and layers of bruised tissue indicating severe, long-term abuse. During the investigation, authorities uncovered phone videos depicting Saintizaire repeatedly striking the boy while he was unresponsive, as well as footage of her throwing him into a pool with his hands tied behind his back.

 • Witness Tampering: Saintizaire coerced her 16-year-old son into lying to investigators to cover up the injuries and blamed the child’s condition on “flu-like symptoms” or an accidental drop, though he later disclosed the truth to law enforcement.
