Limited-time Halloween event invites families to meet the Pirate Captain, search for hidden treasure, and make marine discoveries during an immersive underwater quest<\/p>\n\n\n

This fall,\u00a0SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium<\/u><\/a>\u00a0invites families\u00a0to set sail on an underwater adventure during\u00a0Pirates of the Haunted Seas<\/strong>, a limited-time Halloween event in Orlando filled with hidden treasure, pirate\u00a0encounters\u00a0and hands-on activities\u00a0alongside thousands of marine creatures.\u00a0Taking place\u00a0Saturdays and Sundays<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0Sept. 19 through Nov. 1<\/strong>, the experience is included with aquarium admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pirate Captain awaits brave adventurers for a special meet-and-greet, where each young pirate will receive a commemorative gold coin. Armed with a treasure map, families will journey through the aquarium, encountering sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, axolotls, seahorses and other fascinating sea animals. Along the way, they\u2019ll complete pirate-themed activities, uncover hidden \u201cloot\u201d and finish their quest with a bag filled with candy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The adventure continues throughout the aquarium with themed d\u00e9cor and interactive activities inspired by the sea animals and habitats beneath the waves. Guests can practice rope-knot tying and hear \u2018Tales of the Deep\u2019 in the Shipwreck zone, learn about coral in the Coral Seas habitat, play a shark-matching game in the Pacific Ocean habitat, join a Sea Dogs shark chat near the 360-degree ocean tunnel, and enjoy coloring activities and Florida wildlife chats in the Everglades area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Pirates of the Haunted Seas brings together imaginative play, hands-on learning and unforgettable marine encounters in a way that’s uniquely SEA LIFE Orlando,” said Paul Gould, General Manager of SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium. “Whether families are searching for hidden treasure or discovering fascinating sea animals, there’s something new to explore around every corner.”<\/p>\n\n\n

Guests can also enhance their visit with premium experiences, including\u00a0Legend of\u00a0Lusca\u00a0VR<\/strong>\u00a0for an\u00a0additional\u00a0$8 per person and\u00a0Behind-the-Scenes Tours<\/strong>\u00a0for an\u00a0additional\u00a0$10 per person.\u00a0Legend of\u00a0Lusca\u00a0VR\u00a0<\/strong>allows guests\u00a0to\u00a0encounter\u00a0sharks, sea turtles, and more on an adventure deep among the coral reefs and shipwrecks of the Bahamas. On the\u00a030-minute Behind-the-Scenes Tour<\/strong>, guests will step into the world of the aquarists and discover what it takes to care for thousands of amazing sea animals. From preparing meals to\u00a0monitoring\u00a0habitats, guests will get a glimpse into the fascinating work happening just out of sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
