Online orders through MyDMVPortal.flhsmv.gov will get the new design by early November. <a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the rollout Tuesday during a Florida Cabinet meeting at the Capitol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s new on the design<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new credential is loaded with Florida history and keeps the same high-security, REAL ID-compliant features. FLHSMV says it incorporates the state seal as an enhanced security feature. <a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FRONT:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine \u2014 the oldest masonry fortress in the continental U.S. \u2014 as the background image <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An orange as the &#8220;O&#8221; in &#8220;Florida&#8221; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Florida manatee in the bottom left corner <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An alligator inside the REAL ID star in the top right corner <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BACK:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Space Shuttle Discovery \u2014 which flew 39 missions before its final landing in Florida in 2011 \u2014 to honor the Space Coast <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The motto &#8220;Let Us Alone&#8221; from Florida&#8217;s first unofficial state flag presented to Governor William D. Moseley upon his inauguration <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new design will appear on driver licenses, ID cards, learner&#8217;s licenses, and commercial driver licenses. It also includes a &#8220;Temporary Non-Domiciled&#8221; marking for Commercial Driver Licenses and Commercial Learner&#8217;s Permits. <a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you need to replace yours?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No. FLHSMV says all currently valid credentials will remain valid until they expire and will be phased out over time.
