On Saturdays 8am- 1pm (weather permitted)  you will find vendors lined up from E. Oak St. all the way to Kentucky Ave for The Downtown Lakeland Farmers Curb Market.  The Lakeland staple has been reopened and taking extra precautions so that everyone feels safe. The extra block or so added is to provide extra spacing between the vendors creating a safe and airy feel to the once cramped event.  You will see all vendors wearing masks when interacting with customers and cannot social distance, and many if not all of the visitors I came across have a mask readily available if not already being worn.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It is a truth now universally known that you may want the items, but want to also limit your exposure to the public so pre-ordering among vendors is now commonplace- including my favorite confectionary Kitchen 63.  Vendors have taken to this method and you can contact them directly to see if your favorite stand is participating.  If you aren\u2019t ordering online make sure you get there early, many items sell out!  
  After being away myself for so long, I must say that walking the streets of our beloved downtown on a warm morning was just the thing to clear the cobwebs. It was a lovely excursion that really made me understand the value of this market. It wasn\u2019t just the amazing wares to be had that made me feel elated, it was the comradely and community that I had been missing without even knowing it. Although the waffles from Wafu helped a bit as well! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

   So when you visit, whether or not it\u2019s the first time or a reunion, I promise you that the minute you step foot on the pavement you will feel like you are being welcomed by an old friend<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
