As it moved inland across Alabama and the Southeast on Saturday, October 10, it rapidly weakened into a post-tropical cyclone.

Casualties: At least four deaths have been attributed to the storm so far — two in Escambia County, Florida, and two in Alabama (including one in Birmingham). Falling trees onto residential homes caused several of these fatalities.

Power Outages & Structural Damage: Hundreds of thousands of customers (nearly 700,000 across the region) lost power due to high winds damaging power lines, uprooting trees, and ripping away building roofs and facades along the Florida Panhandle and into Alabama.

Ongoing Hazards & Flood Warnings: Officials and forecasters warn that despite the storm’s weakening winds, the threat of heavy rainfall, flash flooding, river flooding, and isolated tornadoes remains high across parts of the Southeast and up toward the southern Appalachians through the weekend. Isaias is expected to fully dissipate by Sunday.

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex
