TNVR stands for Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return, which is the English acronym for Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return; in Spanish, it means Capture, Sterilize, Vaccinate, and Return. It is a humanitarian method to care for community cats, that is, cats that live on the streets and do not have a fixed home.

How does it work?

"🔹" Capture: cats are trapped with safe traps and without harming them.

"🔹" Sterilize: they undergo surgery to prevent them from continuing to breed.

"🔹" Vaccinate: they receive vaccines, such as rabies, to protect their health and that of the community.

"🔹" Return: they return to the place they know and where they already have their colony.

Why is it important?

It reduces suffering, controls the population in a natural and humane way, and improves the health of the neighborhoods. In addition, it has been proven to be more effective than removing the cats, because when they are eliminated, others take their place.

TNVR is a way to care for cats with respect and compassion. "💛"
