Plans have been filed for a new 158,000-square-foot Costco Wholesale<\/strong> warehouse in Davenport, positioning the retailer right in the middle of a rapidly expanding retail corridor along US Highway 27.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The site plan (submitted to Polk County on November 4, 2026) places the store on US 27 at Heller Brothers Boulevard<\/strong> (wrapped by Ernie Caldwell Boulevard).<\/sup> The development includes a members-only gas station and three outparcels.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n

    Until now, Polk County residents looking for a Costco had to make the trek to Clermont, Brandon, or South Orlando<\/strong>.<\/sup> With the explosion of residential development surrounding Davenport, Haines City, and the I-4 corridor, major big-box retailers are racing to capture market share in what has become one of the fastest-growing residential pockets in Central Florida.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n
