No session date is set. Before the election, incoming Senate President Jim Boyd said it could wait until January so the new administration has a say. Incoming House Speaker Sam Garrison said he would rather be right than quick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amendment 3 raises the nonschool homestead exemption to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028. Those are exemption amounts, not dollars off your bill. The next fight is over the rules around that relief.
