{"id":9830,"date":"2021-04-15T10:52:13","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T14:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?p=9830"},"modified":"2021-04-15T10:52:27","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T14:52:27","slug":"vote-by-mail-for-the-may-4th-run-off-elections-in-haines-city-lakeland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/2021\/04\/15\/vote-by-mail-for-the-may-4th-run-off-elections-in-haines-city-lakeland\/","title":{"rendered":"Vote by Mail for the May 4th Run-Off Elections in Haines City &#038; Lakeland"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registered voters who reside in the cities of Haines City and Lakeland will have the option to receive a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the May 4th Run-Off Election being held in both cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"388\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/COVIDVoting.jpg?resize=600%2C388&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9831\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/COVIDVoting.jpg?w=600&amp;ssl=1 600w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/COVIDVoting.jpg?resize=300%2C194&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Haines City residents will decide the outcome of the City Commission race for City Commission Seat 5 between Anne Huffman and Kenneth Kipp, and in Lakeland, voters will choose between Mike Musick and Shandale Terrell to decide the winner in the race for City Commissioner, District D &#8211; Southeast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voters who received a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the April 6th city election will automatically be mailed a ballot for the Run-Off Election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other voters may request that a ballot be mailed to them by calling the Elections Office at (863) 534-5888 or by clicking on the \u201cVote by Mail\u201d button at\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.polkelections.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">PolkElections.com<\/a>. The deadline to request a mail ballot is Saturday, April 24th.
