The Fire men’s soccer team earned a second-straight trip to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round, receiving an at-large bid for the first time in program history.
Southeastern will travel to Columbia, Ky. to play on Friday against John Brown University of Arkansas, with the winner playing the host Lindsey Wilson on Saturday.
The 16 opening round winners will meet in Irvine, Calf. to determine the 2019 national champion.
Southeastern owns a 1-1 all-time record in the opening round, winning in 2015 at Cumberland University in overtime, and losing last year at home to Georgia Gwinnett.
The Golden Eagles are 17-3 on the season with two of their losses coming to undefeated Columbia and No. 5 Lindsey Wilson.
