Hamilton Road in Lakeland will close for the day on Monday, April 22 from the intersection at Drane Field Road south to Anchuca Drive to offload heavy equipment needed to complete the installation of a new electric substation.
Offloading requires a large crane to be stationed across roadway travel lanes. Hamilton Road will close at 7:00 a.m. Monday morning and reopen no later than 7:00 p.m.
During the daylong closure, traffic will detour along Anchuca Drive from Hamilton Road or Drane Field Road to loop around the work zone. Minor commuting delays are possible, particularly during peak travel hours.
