Midnight Ghost Hunt at Mims Property Ends in Four Arrests

By PulsePoint & Patrol

Just after midnight on October 12, an alarm sounded at the Mims property in Mulberry.

Somewhere on the fenced property were four visitors who, according to deputies, had come looking for an abandoned building rumored to be haunted.

They found something watching them from above.

It was PCSO aviation.

According to the arrest affidavit, aviation located the group and guided deputies toward a thick wooded area on the northeast side of the property. Commands followed: come out of the woods.

This particular encounter required no paranormal explanation.

Deputies identified the four as:

* Christopher Khin, 19

* Angel Miguel Cascante, 18

* Hayden Gunter, 19

* Raphael Almonte, 20

All four reportedly told deputies they found the location on a website describing an abandoned building that was possibly haunted.

The property also had fencing and a visible PCSO “No Trespassing” sign at the entrance. Deputies said none of the four had permission to enter.

Their midnight adventure ended with trespassing arrests and a trip to the Sheriff’s Processing Center.

Whether the property is haunted remains unconfirmed. The alarm system, however, appears to be working.
