On July 3, 2019, at 2:48 PM, Florida Highway Patrol Troopers initiated a traffic stop on a white 2014 Chevrolet 4-door for traveling 87 MPH in a posted 70 MPH speed zone on Interstate 4, west of US-27 in Polk County. Upon contacting the two occupants in the vehicle, the Trooper noticed their extreme nervous behavior, coupled with the strong odors of cologne and marijuana. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed nearly an ounce of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm which had been reported stolen out of Ohio in March of 2018. As a result, all contraband was seized and both occupants were arrested and delivered to the Polk County Jail.

JONATHAN THOMAS PEREZ, 35, of Orlando was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, grand theft firearm, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
HEATHER LOREN GOLLEDGE, 20, of Winter Haven, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell and two counts of drug paraphernalia.
