Due to the predicated path and intensity of Hurricane Dorian, and in the interest of safety for student-athletes, coaches, and staff, all home athletic events at Florida Southern College have been canceled for the week of Sept. 2. At this time, campus remains open but classes have been canceled for next week as well. There are no current plans to make up any of the canceled athletic events.
The Moccasin men’s soccer team will still travel to Alabama for away matches at Montevallo (Sept. 6) and Spring Hill (Sept. 8). Florida Southern women’s soccer is currently still slated to play at home against Georgia College on Sunday, Sept. 8. The Terrace Hotel Volleyball Classic, which was to feature matches between Florida Southern, Concordia-St. Paul, Hillsdale, Central Missouri and Indiana (Pa.) has also been canceled.
