A slice of Oktoberfest returns to Lakeland for the second straight year with Bavarian-inspired food, drinks, customs and music for the whole family. The Suncoast Credit Union SwantoberFest, hosted by the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce, will take place in Munn Park in Downtown Lakeland on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
The community is invited to the free event, which opens at 5 p.m. with the ceremonial tap of the keg. The Suncoast Credit Union SwantoberFest German Feast Tent will serve up smoked bratwurst and buns, German potato salad, sauerkraut and pretzels from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. VIP passes will be available for an extra-special experience in the MyBox suites.
Other offerings include German-style competitions, a treasure hunt, KinderPlatz Kids Zone and live music by The Europa Band. The event will also feature a business expo so that Chamber members can showcase their offerings and engage with the community.
