Southeastern University will host Florida State Attorney Brian Haas for its annual celebration of Constitution Day on Tuesday, September 17. The event is held by the university’s Department of Humanities in the College of Arts and Media with the purpose of raising awareness of the importance of the nation’s oldest and most important document.
Haas serves as the state attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida. He ran for state attorney unopposed and was sworn in on January 3, 2017. Prior to this role, Haas served as the chief assistant state attorney under State Attorney Jerry Hill. Haas grew up in Polk County and is a graduate of Bartow High School.
The event will take place in the auditorium of the Natural and Health Sciences building at 10:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit cam.seu.edu/constitutionday.
