Florida Southern College Hearthstone kicked off the fall season on a high note, defeating Florida State, 3-1, on Monday night. The Moccasins (1-0) pulled away with the last two games of the match, easily defeating the Seminoles (0-1) with their Control Warrior and Highland Hunter decks.
The fall Hearthstone season consists of seven weeks of swiss in-region competition with four regions (North, South, East, West). Regional Playoffs with the top 32 teams in each region will begin Nov. 9, with the final set for Dec. 14. All matches are best-of-5 conquest.

Coach’s take…
“Happy to come out with a win for our first Hearthstone match of the semester,” esports head coach Nate Carson said. “The Hearthstone team showed hard work and focus at the beginning of this semester, and I’m hoping for more of that as the season progresses.”
