- The Fire are looking to earn their first 4-0 start in program history.
- SEU defeated Campbellsville 44-27 last Saturday at Victory Field. The school-record for passing yardage only held the top spot for a week after sophomore quarterback Cooper Jones passed for a team record 342 yards and matched his career-high with four touchdowns. His favorite target was Eugene Witherspoon, who had seven catches for 164 yards with two scores.
- On defense, the Fire recorded seven sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Nick Moreno led the Fire with 13 stops. Loobert Denelus had two sacks, and was in on an additional tackle behind the line.
- Ave Maria is coming off a 42-28 loss to NCAA Division I Jacksonville. The Gyrenes defeated the Fire 23-20 down at Ave Maria last season.

- The Fire opened up Sun Conference play last week with a pair of shutouts, blanking Warner 5-0 and Ave Maria 10-0.
- Senior forward Uchenna Kanu recorded the 23rd hat trick of her collegiate career in the win over Warner. Versus the Gyrenes, Kanu netted two goals and recorded an assist in just 39 minutes of play.
- Johnson & Wales is off to a 6-1 start and is led by junior forward Savannah Jackson, who leads The Sun Conference in goals scored at 22.
