In this, her first concert in FSC’s Festival of Fine Arts in Branscomb Auditorium, conductor Martha Placeres takes up the baton to conduct the splendid Florida Southern College Symphony Orchestra and share with you her special look at the first year of her engagement with them. Through beautiful musical styles, wonderful composers, and a couple of innovative ideas here and there, she will let you know just how warmly the orchestra has greeted her. In turn, that will allow you to simply sit back and enjoy another exciting, beautiful, and comfortable evening of music – from the orchestra and its fine new conductor.
