Currently all southbound lanes of I-75 are closed at the Proctor Road overpass (MM 206) due to a truck strike on the overpass. Proctor Road remains closed as well. Bridge inspection crews are on site and assessing the damage. We anticipate knowing more in approximately 1 hour once crews complete their inspection and remove lose concrete that could become a falling hazard. Until then, both roads will remain closed.
This is the second truck to strike an overpass today alone. Earlier another truck struck the S Moon Dr overpass near River Road, causing another temporary closure. It is imperative that drivers check their loads in order to avoid the preventable closures.
