January 15th 1975… that’s when Space Mountain opened. Twitter account @OnThisDisneyDay sasy the grand opening that day included a band of 2,000 high school students, fireworks and 50,000 balloons were released. Ever seen Space Mountain with the lights ON? Not many have!
