After a recent hearing, the City of Lakeland’s Nuisance Abatement Board concluded that property at Carolyn Drive was considered a nuisance due to continuous illegal activities. Thanks to involved neighbors and the follow-up work of our Neighborhood Liaison Officers, this past week, the residence was boarded up to remain unoccupied for a period of six months. During an estimated eight-month investigation, officers were called to the home numerous times, and multiple arrests were made for drugs and possession of stolen goods.
We are fortunate to have two Neighborhood Liaison Units, with two sergeants and ten officers. The specialty units work proactively with residents to solve issues, like this one, within their neighborhoods.
