I can understand opening walking trails, but why is the golf course being reopened? Golf is a social game, and I don’t care what rules are in place, people will congregate around tees and holes and to tally scores. The more social contacts, the more the risks. But it’s not just the players taking the risks – when they get sick, they will expose more health care workers to potential danger. Since we have done woefully too few tests, we don’t really know the danger. Expanding social options at this time is a selfish act that benefits few but risks many. Doctors’, Nurses’ and other HCW’s lives should matter more than golf.
