The XFL has suspended operations and fired employees, thus bringing to a close the short history of the Tampa Bay Vipers and other teams in the league.
According to a report from news partner the Tampa Bay Times, league and team personnel were told of their dismissals on a Friday conference call.
There was no talk of re-starting the league in 2021.
The Vipers played just two home games.
