Carl Soto, vice president of BLM Restoration Polk is expecting an even larger crowd at a second peaceful protest scheduled for 2:30 Sunday in Munn Park.
“What we want to do is give the citizens of Polk County, again, an opportunity to peacefully and legally protest on a proper platform without illegal activity,” Soto said.
Black Lives Matter Restoration Polk is soliciting input from clergy and other community leaders on how to deal with intruders urging violence and will share their plans with law enforcement.
