Pastor Wayne Blackburn of Victory is telling teachers of their school to be quiet. And threatening their jobs if they talk to the media. Also, the Headmaster of the VCA Karla Collins Facebook pictures were deleted.
All since the last article. So, what are they hiding?????? The truth????
One parent said, “I personally called out Karla Collins to the Pastors for the BLM march as I felt it was not a Christian, professional or a good representation of Victory Church or VCA, my personal feelings.”
The Lakeland Gazette has tried 7 different times through different sources to get Pastor Wayne Blackburn to talk to us. But silence is not good!!!! This silence will not make these issues go away.
Another parent said, “Apparently you suffer from derangement syndrome or one the idiots who follow those no matter what rabbit hole it may lead you to. I’m sorry but this sounds like the rest of the political crap going on in our country today. Lie, don’t admit even when you’re caught with your hands in the cookie jar. Protecting the guilty is a cowardly act.”
The parent went on to say. “This is our children’s future, not some buddy system. Parents rely on private Christian schools as this to lead by example, follow the Bible in all that they do. Otherwise, parents might as well send their children to public school. So please leave your personal feeling aside and stay with the facts. After additional digging around I also discovered that this school has had a HUGE turnover of teachers since Karla Collins became headmaster. Again facts!”
The Lakeland Gazette find out the turnover in the past few years is at least 4 Bible teachers, English teachers, math teachers, science teachers all of whom left or fired because of the headmaster. It was said that the teachers butted heads on doctrine among other serious matters.
We believe there are many teachers and parents from the school that would agree and comes forward. Unfortunately, they are fearful of losing their jobs or having their children kicked out of school, or face other types of retribution.
Lakeland Gazette has many questions ask but one we would like to see the faces of Karla Collins and Pastor Wayne Blackburn when asked about a party of underage VCA students after a football game that had drugs, alcohol, and sex that included Blackburn’s own grandchild.

No response from Victory regarding the headmaster or any other subject? Is this going to be ignored thinking that it will go away?
This is not a healthy environment for a Christian education or this church.

I honestly believe that the editor of this story should be fired. There are many grammar mistakes made in the article and it’s very hard to believe something that has simple mistakes like these.

My heart feels heavy tonight, as I sit and contemplate sending my child back to school in January. God sees all and the truth will come to light what ever it may be. I pray for God to lead in this situation and may he protect all the Children and those who speak the truth in this situation as well.
Victory Christian Academy is an excellent school. Stop spreading inaccurate information. I have two children who attend VCA, one of the teachers who was fired was acting inappropriately. I do not see you discussing the numerous ways this school and church helps the community.Are you discussing how the church is active in the community ? They educate children in a Christian environment . Before you write an article telling lies on this school and the staff there , gather accurate information.
I would recommend strongly that you would take your children out of that school. How about your inappropriate Headmaster in your inappropriate senior pastor??
I can’t believe I wasted brain cells reading this and the previous 2 articles. I know that sounds harsh but these are poorly written and not true.
You have to understand no school will ever be perfect, because we are a building full of humans. Crazy fact ready…we mess up and make mistakes. What wasn’t a mistake was Collins holding that sign. Majority of our school is filled with BIPOC and its made us feel like we have safe space from the outside world. We don’t have to think of the harsh reality of life and hear from bigots like whoever wrote this article. Hiding behind “Anonymous“ just shows you’re no brave enough to stand behind your beliefs, and that’s the difference here.
All the comments that are slander are from people who are just not brave enough to stand with their opinions and only hide behind them.

Firstly, I’m pathetic because I won’t say Black lives matter? You’re Hilarious. I’ll say ALL LIVE MATTER but I won’t say “black lives matter” because then you’re saying that you’re life is more important than mine.
Secondly, there is not a “deep rooted problem” in America. Racism does exist, but it’s not nearly as bad as you think it does. There’s not a problem to the point where peaceful protests and riots should be occurring.
Thirdly, I can 1000000% guarantee that every single teacher you have ever had at victory has never looked at you differently because of the color of your skin, or your peers.
Fourthly, climate change isn’t going to be a problem. I wear a mask at school, and I can promise you that you will NEVER catch me with a mask on outside of school.

okay so tell me what all live matters Is doing for the black community? What are y’all lobbying and protesting for. absolutely nothing you’re counter “movement” protesting a movement that was made because black people are dying at the hands of the state at a higher rate. And being that we make up such a small amount of the population this is very concerning.
Where n the slogan does “black lives matter” say that only Black Lives Matter, and where does it say that Black Lives Matter more. You wanna know why we even have to say this…as a reminder. Let me simplify this for you because you’re not understanding, right now corona is what’s matters, but does that mean cancer matters less? Of course not, but corona is what our attention needs to be on.
So white lives, Hispanic lives, indigenous lives, Asian lives, and any others their lives matter but we need help rn. Black people need help rn. And people like you are the reason we are n this position. Because you don’t listen, you only respond.

Girl, read your Bible! God has provided everything we would ever need. He isn’t going to destroy this world until the new heavens and new earth is created. You cannot pay millions and billions of dollars to fix the climate. I agree, we shouldn’t litter or dump toxic waste in the oceans but climate change is a hoax. Masks do not work. It’s all about mind control and getting you to release your rights and freedoms. Are you ready for the NWO? Also, no one said black lives don’t matter. Yes, they do. I use to go to victory. And honestly there was something off… we haven’t attended in 2 years since being shamed by the pastors son. But My guess with all this is the pastor won’t take a stand for this reason. It’s a mega church. Maybe many of which probably hold onto liberal values. Maybe they donate a lot. And if he takes a stance on his values. He’ll lose the founds coming In. That’s just my guess.
This issue would not have been brought to light unless their is a true issue. Investigation needs to occur promptly, my guess is they also teach against being homosexual and etc. I also see mention of a presidential candidate, this isn’t something that should be part of a school curriculum. Clean it up or close it down!
