The intersection at Fairbanks Street and W. Bella Vista Street is scheduled to be closed for 30-days starting Monday, March 8th. The City’s road contractor, Cobb Site Development Inc., will be reconstructing the intersection of Fairbanks Street and Bella Vista Street as part of the new North Wabash Avenue Extension.
The road closure is for the reconstruction of the intersection of Fairbanks Street and Bella Vista Street. The project will include widening a section of Fairbanks Street, an improved drainage system will be put in place and a new driveway will be installed.
The project is being funded by both Polk County and the City of Lakeland. Detours will be in place to least impact vehicular traffic and there are maps attached outlining the detour route. The detour for westbound traffic will be south on Kathleen Road, then west on 10th Street, then north on Galloway Road to Bella Vista Street. Eastbound traffic will take the same detour in reverse.
