WHAT: Shoulder Closure for Drainage Improvements
WHERE: Westbound US92 Between Wabash Avenue and Chestnut Road

WHY: Part of Wabash Avenue Intersection Improvement Project
A contractor (K&R) working for the City of Lakeland and the Florida Department of Transportation will be closing the shoulder on a portion of US 92/George Jenkins Boulevard between Wabash Avenue and Chestnut Street for drainage improvements. The closure will start Sunday, March 14th, and is scheduled to end Thursday, March 19th. All lanes will remain open to traffic on US92 but Woodland Mobile Home Park driveways at Ithaca Avenue and South Jackson Avenue will be impacted during the project.
These drainage Improvements are part of the US 92 and Wabash Avenue Intersection Improvement Project that is being funded by both the Florida Department of Transportation and the City of Lakeland.
