Small plane makes emergency landing on Polk Parkway near exit 4

#TrafficAlert Polk Parkway LakelandPD and Lakeland Fire Department are currently working on a scene involving a plane landing safely on the grass shoulder of the Polk Parkway near exit 4.

The pilot and passenger are safe. No injuries at the scene.

Eastbound lanes of Polk Parkway are open but limited. Lanes will be closed soon to load the plane and remove it via trailer.
