Saturday, April 24th is the last day that registered voters in the cities of Haines City and Lakeland can submit a request to receive a ballot by mail for the May 4th Municipal Run-Off Elections.
Voters who received a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the April 6th city election will automatically be mailed a ballot for the Run-Off Election.
Haines City residents will decide the outcome of the City Commission race for City Commission Seat 5 between Anne Huffman and Kenneth Kipp, and in Lakeland, voters will choose between Mike Musick and Shandale Terrell to decide the winner in the race for City Commissioner District D – Southeast.
New requests can be made online at PolkElections.com or by calling the Elections Office at (863) 534-5888. Voted ballots may be returned by mail or dropped off to the Supervisor of Elections, but they must be received by 7 pm on Election Day, May 4th.
Polling locations for the April 6th Municipal Election will be open from 7 am – 7 pm on Election Day, Tuesday, May 4th and Florida law requires voters to vote at the precinct they are assigned.
