Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis visited Polk County Fire Rescue Station #38 on May 6, 2021 as part of the Advanced Decontamination Grants program. Award recipients included Polk County Fire Rescue (Chief Rob Weech), Minneola Fire Department (Chief Otero) and New Port Richey Fire Department (Chief Chris Fitch). In addition to CFO Patronis, attendees heard from President Wayne “Bernie” Bernoska from the Florida Professional Firefighters, Chief Doug Riley, Florida Fire Chief’s Association’s 1st VP and a special appearance and reflection from Lakeland Fire Department’s very own Firefighter-Paramedic Clay Geiger
