This year, they are flying their 2 Cubs and one of the member’s Champ. They left last Friday…had some weather holds…and are now in Bessemer AL at Don’s Dream Machines putting the final touches on the 1-week Wonder plane that they built in their hangar during SNF21.
This year’s Flight Team of 6 range in age from 17 – 22. They are the PICs! They are supported by 2 adults who are mentoring them throughout this 3-week adventure.
The Lakeland Aero Club is the country’s largest youth Flying Club with members 14-24. Their hangar is on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus and is associated with the Aerospace Center for Excellence
