Some Goodbyes are Harder Than Others. Man are we going to Miss Walt!
Officer Walter Dennis has officially retired after serving the City of Lakeland, FL – Government for over 30 Years! Big Walt spent much of his career working in our schools as a School Resource Officer and connecting with kids at all levels, from elementary school to Florida Southern College.
Officer Dennis is one of the kindest and funniest people to ever walk the halls of the Lakeland Police Department. We are a better agency because of his service and our City a better place because of his dedication to helping others.
We wish Walt ALL THE BEST on a VERY HAPPY and WELL-DESERVED retirement!
We know he is going to enjoy spending more time with his family!
