In the State of Florida, we are 1 out of only 43 departments.
Insurers utilize these scores and rating systems (1-10) called ISO’s Public Protection Classification to determine premiums for property insurance. It measures the risk of fire loss in a community and who they underwrite for coverage. It also significantly impacts economic development – businesses want a well-protected, well-equipped community with proactive departments in their communities’ risk reduction.
