Remnants of Ida continue to move across the northeast, as it leaves behind historic flooding in the New York metropolitan region. Unfortunately, several fatalities have been reported due to the unprecedented flash flooding.
Today: Conditions are likely to remain soggy. Numerous showers and thunderstorms are tracking east today. Highest coverage of precipitation moving onshore between Hernando and Manatee county. Coverage showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase this afternoon throughout the Florida peninsula. Temperatures are forecasted to push into the upper ’80s.
