The Hispanic Heritage Traveling Video Series Initiative -

Every year The Puerto Rican Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Polk County initiates a new program to celebrate the growth and involvement of this county’s Hispanic citizens. The PRHCCPC as it is known by many, always brings its community newness and innovative ways to highlight its community, its culture and its business members.

“In 2011 we began our yearly campaigns with “It’s All About The Brand”, in 2014 the Chamber brought forth The “Think Puerto Rican, Buy Puerto Rican Initiative” , 2016 was “#wecarevenezuela”, in 2017 we gave birth to “The Band-Aid 4 Puerto Rico” campaign after hurricane Maria and in 2021 La Revancha/The Re-Match.

So every other year as the growth of the Hispanic population shows more & more increases in this part of Central Florida we as a collective group bring forth more programs celebrating not only our growth but our commitment to this community as a whole. Something not seen by any other entity, which simply dedicates itself to simply support business growth. The PRHCCPC is more than this , that is why we live and breathe through our mantra . Community, Culture & Commerce, says Founder & president Ana Rivera de Ramos . Three C’s as she calls them.”

This January 2022 , we will be celebrating our 15th year in this community. A non profit organization that has placed the Hispanic community on the map by celebrating their entrepreneurial spirit but their culture as their presentation card. This year to celebrate this we have brought forth , “The Hispanic Heritage Traveling Video Series. A collaborative project along with The Polk History Center. This initiative was brought to the center by Ana Rivera to its Director Myrtice Young and the idea bloomed into its final piece , a video series to not only be educational but generational. Celebrating our communities leaders and their contributions and making Polk County their home. Its final goal is to share this video series to our public servants up in Tallahassee on Polk County day.
